Celebrating Louisa's impact

We are very proud to share that, last week, our Chief Executive Louisa Mitchell officially received her MBE from Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, in recognition of her ‘services to children and young people’.

Back in 2015, Louisa was one of the founding team of AllChild (then named West London Zone!), where she was part of the co-design and pilot launch of our community-led system of support and opportunities for children and families in West London.

By 2016, West London Zone was formally launched in partnership with 132 children and families, 3 schools and 12 charities.In the 8 years since, Louisa has overseen the growth of the organisation while also expanding to reach thousands of children across West London and as of this year, the Wigan area of Greater Manchester.

Speaking on the occasion and the story of AllChild, Louisa says,“It is an honour to lead AllChild and to work with our many partners to enable the right support in the right way, at the right time, for children and young people in our communities here in West London.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in AllChild over the years. I hope this is just the beginning, and we look forward to supporting many more children and their families together with our community partners in future”.
