Link Worker Brandy shares her experience of empowering young people

• Our Link Workers work directly with the young people on our programme, as well as their teachers, families, and other partner organisations, to provide a joined-up system of support
• They act as mentors and advocates, building trusted relationships so that they may better support each child to develop the skills they need to positively take on life 
• Link Worker Brandy tells us about one young person and how this trusted relationship was key to his positive school journey

As we begin another academic year, we asked one of our Link Workers, Brandy, to tell us about the important work she does to support the children and young people on the West London Zone programme. 

Here, she shares her experiences about one particular young person, who lacked the confidence and secure friendships to be happy in school. After building a rapport with him, and introducing him to new activities and different ways of thinking, he is developing into a thoughtful and resilient young person, working well as a team, and has bright prospects ahead.
