For the third year running, West London Zone took part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge. This means that between 29 November and 6 December every donation will be doubled.
The Big Give is a fundraising platform that brings charities, the public, and philanthropists together to amplify their impact. Our target this year is £50,000 – which will be matched by our pledge champions to £100,000.
For every £1 you donate, our pledge champions will match it, doubling your donation.
From 12pm on November 29 you can get involved:
Access to a good start in life shouldn’t be a postcode lottery
Thanks to supporters like you, we are proud to be working in 54 school settings this academic year, working with 1680 children to make sure they get the social, emotional and academic support they need to get on track to thrive.
However, soaring living costs and further strains on school budgets mean that this year is set to be one of the toughest yet for the children and families we work with. We are already seeing the effect of these circumstances on the wellbeing and life chances of young people in West London.
What will your donations do?
This Christmas, we need to raise £100,000 to fund our work with 160 children and young people in four schools over the Spring Term. This will fund the work of a Link Worker, as well as sessions from our amazing partners, as part of a personalised programme of support for each child – from confidence-building sports and drama activities, to intensive literacy catch-up interventions.
Every little helps – whether £20 or £200 or £2000. Thanks to our amazing pledge funders, the David and Emma Verey Foundation and The Childhood Trust we have the opportunity to have every donation you make doubled.
